Tonya Kappes newest book, Betting Off Dead!

Character Interview With Mick Jasper
Undercover Agent for SKUL

1 - We all want to be different, so what is the one thing you wish your creator had done differently with you? I wish she’d put more love scenes in there with me and June! Or even had more scenes with me using my wizard wand instead of everything focusing on June and her gift of potion making.
2 - If you could have added something to the story, and your creator would have let you, what would that have been? I seem to get in trouble when Maggie is around and helping me. I would like be the one to get Maggie out of trouble for once. But I think that Tonya has the whole girl power thing going on. PlusMaggie happens to be at the right place at the right time when I’ve got that all backwards. Just something to ponder.
3 - What do you love best about yourself? What do you like least? I love that I’m spy and a really good one. I take my job very serious. The least thing is that I do take myself a little too serious and should have more fun.
4 - What part of the book was the hardest for you and your creator to work through? It was hard to get Tonya to research all the laws that apply when spying. She’s good at the girl stuff, but the guy stuff she could use some work on.
5 – What do you want to accomplish in the next book? I’d like to get more of an insight into Maggie’s life. She’s so mysterious and her family is well…strange. Her Auntie Meme and her book club likes to dress up in costumes. Her car is so old that it seems like it has a mind of its own, which I know is ridiculous since it’s just a car and that family diner of theirs has some sketchy paperwork.

Synopsis:

Tonya has written over 20 novels and 4 novellas, all of which have graced numerous bestseller lists including USA Today. Best known for stories charged with emotion and humor, and filled with flawed characters, her novels have garnered reader praise and glowing critical reviews. She lives with her husband and a teenage boy (her other three boys have spread their wings in college) and two very spoiled schnauzers in Kentucky.
